English (Associate in Arts)

English is a transfer program for students who plan to complete an associate in arts degree at HCC and then transfer to another institution to pursue a bachelor’s degree.  Students who major in English receive substantial training in critical and analytical thinking, research, and written communication skills.  Employment opportunities include positions in education, government, journalism, or business, such as teacher, editor, proofreader, copywriter, technical writer, or researcher.
