Personal counseling services are available to help students with personal or academic issues that might interfere with their educational pursuits. A confidential setting is provided where students can seek assistance with the knowledge that they will be treated in a professional manner.

Students seek counseling services for a variety of reasons. Among the most common are:

  • Managing stress
  • Improving and building healthy relationships
  • Emotional distress
  • Building self esteem
  • Anxiety and test performance
  • Improving decision making
  • Overcoming homesickness
  • Controlling use of alcohol or drugs
  • Choosing a career
