Title: Head Volleyball Coach
Jon Bingesser begins his second season as HCC Head Volleyball Coach. Last season Bingesser lead the Scotties to a recond of 19-13 and a second place finish in the Region VI district tournament. In his first year Bingesser saw two of his players receive All Conference honors as well as several continuing their career at the NCAA DI, DII and NAIA level.
During the off-season Bingesser coaches for Club North out of Kansas City, MO.
Bingesser comes to the College from Salina where he was the head volleyball coach at Salina South. He has also served as the head volleyball coach at USD 431 in Hoisington and USD 246 in Arma. In addition, he coached the Southwind Rising Volleyball Club in Lenexa and the Central Kansas Volleyball Club in Hoisington. In his coaching career, he has over 100 varsity coaching wins, two league titles, two sub-state championships, a fourth place finish at state, and two regional club runner-up titles.
A native of Beloit, Bingesser has a bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate in psychology from Pittsburg State University. He comes from an athletic family as both his parents and his sister were college athletes and coaches.
Title: Assistant Volleyball Coach
Alex Petock will begin her third season at Highland Community College as assistant volleyball coach. She is the head of the volleyball strength and conditioning program and has 11 years of playing experience at high club levels and the Division II level. Petock is also head of the Athletic Social Media team and is involved in other various activies on and off campus.
She comes from the University of South Carolina Aiken, where she was a setter for the Pacers for her four years. She also played at a very high club level at Metro American Volleyball Club located in Washington DC. Petock earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from USCA. She is a Woodbridge, VA native and is the daughter of Mike and Karen Petock and the sister of Justin Petock.
