Assessment

Assessment is critical to achieving the mission and purposes of Highland Community College. The College has made a commitment to assess its efforts by evaluating feedback from all constituencies. HCC’s assessment program is a comprehensive, systematic, and continuous process that has the support of faculty, administrators, and staff. Our goal for assessment is to demonstrate improved student learning. This is a multifaceted program which includes student orientation, advisement, course placement, transfer student success, course competencies, and national normed test comparisons. We have been successful showing that students of Highland Community College benefit from their experiences on our campus.
