The HCC multimedia team lead by Tanner Holte, HCC Multimedia Coordinator, will host its first ever short film festival on the campus of Highland Community College Thursday, Nov. 16.
Area high schools were invited and encouraged to submit up to two short films for judging and showing at the event. Participants will also take part in workshops and breakout sessions throughout the day on topics such as Journalism/Audience Engagement, Basics of Photography, Open Broadcast Software (OBS) Basics, Intro to Photo Editing, Live Greenscreen, Intro to Video Editing, Student Q&A and a Photography Challenge.
“I am really excited to host our first Film Festival. It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for a while. I'm excited for the possibility it opens for us in the future. I hope the event builds connections with area high schools leading to growth in our program at Highland,” stated Holte.
