Concurrent Getting Started

It's easy to get started! If you have already taken classes with Highland Community College, then skip to step #4.  There is no need to apply more than once.   

  1. New students, please click here to apply for admission to Highland Community College.

  2. You will receive an acceptance email shortly after applying.  Please read through the information.

  3.  You will receive a separate email with your log-in information to access your MyHCC Account.

    • Your login information will also access your HCC email account.  This is important for you to check frequently.  All correspondence with HCC must be sent and received from this email account. 

  4. Meet with your school counselor to select your courses from your school's flyer and any other courses you'd like to enroll in.  Please note that your class might require you to meet a prerequisite.  See Step #7 if you need to inquire about testing. 

  5. After you know which classes you'd like to enroll in, log into your MyHCC account and add the courses to your schedule. For step-by-step information on enrolling via your MyHCC account, please click here: MyHCC Enrollment Directions.

  6. Make sure you send any transcripts, test scores, etc. if you need to meet a prerequisite to concurrent@highlandcc.edu.  Your counselor will also assist you with this. 

  7. Schedule placement testing if you need to meet a prerequisite, and do not have sufficient ACT or Asset test scores. Please contact the HCC campus or your local Regional Center to set up a testing date.
