Highland Community College sophomore Crystal Hoard, a member of the women's cross country, earned All-Conference honors by placing 6th among the Jayhawk Conference runners and All Region by placing 11th at the NJCAA Region VI meet held at Hutchinson Community College. The amazing thing about her accomplishment is she never ran at the high school level. Her career has only been for two years under Coach Tom Bond at Highland. She will finish her Highland career at the NJCAA Cross Country National Meet on November 9, 2013, held at Ft Dodge, Iowa, hosted by Iowa Central Community College. She will then continue her career at either Wichita State or Fort Hays State University.
