The Highland Community College women’s track team traveled to Park University in Parkville, MO, for their first outdoor meet of the year. Two members of the team met the National Meet qualifying standards established by the NJCAA. Jazmine Miller (Highland) and Mandy Wilson (Auburn) not only met the qualifying times for their respective events, they also won their events.
Miller won the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:06.67 and Wilson qualified in the 800 meter with a winning time of 2:20.82. The next outdoor meet for the team will be at Emporia State University on March 29 as additional members of the team seek to meet the qualification standards for the National Meet. The NJCAA Division I National Championships are May 15-18 in Mesa, AZ.
