Highland Community College will host the 38th Annual Northeast Kansas All-Star Volleyball Game Saturday, March 23, at 1:00 p.m. The event will be held at Ben Allen Field House, located on the campus of Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas.

This highly anticipated event will showcase the extraordinary talent of high school volleyball players from across Northeast Kansas. Admission to the event is priced at $5 per person, including students.

The rosters for the NEK All-Star Volleyball Game have been finalized, featuring exceptional athletes from various high schools in the region. The players have been divided into two teams: Gold Team and Navy Team.  Representing the Gold is Clara Johnson, Jefferson County North (JCN); Maggie Toerber, Valley Heights; Ashlyn Gudenkauf, Nemaha Central; Emma Hardwick, Frankfort; Gwyn Noll, Maur Hill; Taylor Weishaar, Riverside; Karlie Grable, Troy; Victoria Kuckelman, Centrailia; Rees Brown, Jefferson West; Camryn Duryea, Sabetha; and Carly Bilderback, Atchison County Community High School. The Gold will be led by coaches Cindy Osterhaus and Mollie Hiltibrand from Centralia High School.

On the other side of the court, representing the Navy Team, under the guidance of head coach Kristel Bontrager from Holton High School, is Alexis Dalinghaus, Frankfort; Tessa Lohse, Hanover; Olivia Scott, Jefferson West; Evelyn Smith, JCN; Taygen Reno, Doniphan West; Jordyn Renk, Maur Hill; Delana Murk, Valley Heights; Emily Langly, JCN; Alexis Messalle, Oskaloosa; and Brenna Smith, St. Mary’s.

The NEK All-Star Volleyball Game promises an exciting display of skill and sportsmanship. Five sets will be played, with the fifth set concluding at 15 points. The officiating duties for this event will be handled by Vicki Hubin and Jolene Bannister of Hiawatha.

Navy and Gold women’s and men’s basketball teams will both play Sunday, March 24, in Ben Allen Field House. Women will tip off at 1:00 p.m. and men at 3:00 p.m. Both days of action will be broadcast on KNZA 103.9 FM, KMZA 92.1 FM and KAIR 93.7 FM.
