Brandon King, a 2012 graduate of Highland Community College who played linebacker for the Scottie football team, was signed the defending Super Bowl champions New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent. King played for Auburn University the last two years, playing safety in addition to linebacker, as Auburn played in the National Championship game in 2013.
King, a native of Alabaster, AL, had 118 tackles, six of which were for losses, during his Scottie sophomore season and became the fifth-ranked defensive back in the national community college rankings in 2012.
