After another record breaking season and a fourth straight NJCAA National tournament appearance last season, the Highland Community College softball team has been ranked fourth in the nation in the first poll of the 2014 season. This is the highest ranking any team under Head Coach Heidi Jordan has achieved. During her tenure at Highland, Jordan’s teams have had nine straight winning seasons, and broke the school record for wins in 2012 with 49. The Scotties have been ranked in the NJCAA top twenty in each of the last five seasons. They open the 2014 season on February 22 at a tournament in Kilgore, TX.
