published January 25, 2019Wine Sensory Workshop at Highland Community College Arts in the Barn Series February 1

Highland Community College’s Arts in the Barn series will host a wine sensory workshop on February 1 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The workshop will focus on the senses and how they interact while eating and drinking, particularly wine. An exercise in aroma identification and aroma wheel discussion will precede sampling 12 wines, many of which are from Kansas wineries. The workshop will be led by Scott Kohl, director of viticulture & enology at Highland Community College.

Kohl describes the event as a, “unique opportunity to engage in the art of wine tasting and paring. Participants will get to really work on heightening their senses when it comes to wine and how it interacts with food.”

Admission for the event is $15. Please RSVP by calling 785-336-1274 or 785-442-6009

or emailing lkoch@highlandcc.edu.

The Klinefelter Farm located just two miles east of Hiawatha, KS, is owned and operated by Highland Community College and the HCC Foundation.
