Three members of the Highland Community College women’s basketball team have been named to the All-Region VI First Team, a fourth member of the team was named to the All-Region VI Second Team, and a fifth player earned Honorable Mention as the team prepares to play in the NJCAA Women’s Division II National Tournament.
Highland sophomores Julia Alves (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Ryann Bowser (Holton), Ashley Torres (Morovis, Puerto Rico) were joined by two players from Johnson County team as members of the All-Region First Team. Sophomore Krystal Cohrn (Topeka) was named to the Second Team and freshman Anna Deegan (Bonner Springs) was in the group earning Honorable Mention honors.
