Seven members of the Highland Community College volleyball squad were named to the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference All Academic Team for the Fall semester. Tori Alderson (Abilene), Alison Cole (Long Island), Erica Dwerlkotte (Frankfort), Jessica Hobbs (Wamego), Lisa Malchow (Highland), Erica Rottinghaus (Seneca), and Kelsee Wright (Topeka) were named to the 2011 Fall Jayhawk Conference All Academic Selection. Each received a 3.5 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the 2011 Fall semester.
“These seven members of our team have shown the dedication and sacrifice it takes to be successful on and off the court, putting true meaning to the term “student athlete”. I am very proud of their academic accomplishments,” said head volleyball coach Diana Gaddis.
