The new Student Resource Representative at the Highland Community College Wamego Center beginning October 13 is Dr. Lindsay Kubina. Originally from Buhler, Dr. Kubina earned college credit from the University of Kansas as part of the Kansas Regents Honors Academy and earned both an AA and an AS degree from Hutchinson Community College.
She then earned her bachelor’s in psychology and master’s in psychology–behavioral neuroscience/animal learning at Kansas State University before continuing her behavioral neuroscience/animal learning studies on the doctoral level. Working in Disability Support Services at K-State during her doctoral studies provided her with the insight that she enjoyed the student services component of higher education.
