Highland Women Head to National Basketball Tournament
The Highland Community College women's basketball team is headed to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in East Peoria, IL, at Illinois Central College (ICC) this week. Coaches BJ Smith and Jillian Palan will be leading the 25-5 Scotties into their opening game at 8:00 Tuesday night against Chesapeake College from Maryland. All the National Tournament games can be viewed on Internet video streaming on the Illinois Central Web site at www.icc.edu/njcaa2013. Ernie’s Bar and Grill in downtown Highland is hosting a watch party for the opening round game Tuesday night.
