Over 30 Kansas junior high and high school cheer and dance teams with approximately 300 students will attend the annual Spirit Spreader and Safety Meeting in the Walters Wellness Center at Highland Community College on Friday, Sept. 9.
HCC Spirit Squad Head Coach, Michelle Johnson Hurd said, “We are so happy to host the 2022 KSHSAA Spirit Spreader again this year. We enjoy meeting the coaches and their athletes. The energy is high, the instruction is well done, and it is a lot of fun for everyone.”
High school cheer and dance coaches will go through safety certification under the direction of Craig Manteuffel, Assistant Execute Director of KSHSAA, while their teams learn new cheers, dances and stunts.
“The KSHSAA Spirit Spreader is always a great way to kick off the new school year. We’re looking forward to another successful event,” Hurd stated.
