Position Purpose: Tutoring students at the Highland CC Campus. 

Duties: Assisting students in studies in areas needed, helping students navigate their academic schedule, provide study skills and strategies to help with their academic success.

Qualifications: Must have a 3.5 Cumulative GPA; must demonstrate professionalism and have good people skills 

 

Position Purpose: Provide students in the SSS program with academic assistance.

Duties: Assist student with academic needs and hold study groups when assigned. Help clean and organize SSS offices. Log tutoring sessions and ensure students check in and out of ipad. Assist SSS staff with any office duties as assigned. Maintain student confidentiality and attend all meetings/trainings and scheduled work hours. Help promote SSS opportunities to students.

Qualifications: Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Must have received an A or B in the subject to be tutored

Position Purpose: Help organize, prep, and maintain classroom cleanliness for room functionality. 

Duties: Cleaning duties for room maintenance. Upkeep/inventory of materials and supplies for student use. Help prep course projects, assist with setting up and taking down still lifes, notify supervisor of any maintenance. isses, run mail or errands on campus, and other duties concerning classroom management and routine for effective creating and learning.

Qualifications: Student who is interested in Art, understands terms and what materials may be used for, or would want to learn. Knowledge of how the room is used and it's contents would be beneficial.                                                             

Position Purpose: Help run athletic sporting events

Duties: Help set up, clean up events. Work all sports whether its holding footballs for the games, line judge for volleyball, running music or scoreboards, etc. 

Qualification: Work study qualified. Must have basic knowledge of sports and their rules. 

Position Purpose: An Athletic Training Student Aide (ATSA) is an unlicensed support role designed to extend the reach of the Certified or Licensed Athletic Trainer (ATC/AT) by handling non‐clinical and entry‐level clinical tasks under direct supervision.

Duties: Work practice and games (home and away) for football and other assigned sports. Provide athletes with water during practices and games. Apply first aid techniques, wraps, bandages, and dressings to minor injuries. Treat injured athletes from assigned sports with modalities such as ice, hot packs, whirlpool, ultrasound, and electrical muscle stimulation while under the direct supervision of a certified athletic trainer. Instruct and guide athletes through rehabilitation and strengthening exercises. Meet other responsibilities deemed necessary by the athletic training staff.  

Qualifications: Required Physically capable of standing for 2-3 hours. Be able to lift/ carry 50lbs. Preferred interest in sport medicine or allied health. High school experience. 

Position Purpose: Help with organization of the athletic training room & assist with flow of practices and games.

Duties: Assisting with office duties, paperwork, and practice and game setup. Driving student athletes to medical appointments. Driving student athletes to medical appointments.

Qualifications: Must be available to work mornings, afternoons, and/or weekends. Must be reliable and sign a student code of conduct regarding HIPAA laws and accountability. 

Position Purpose: Film, various responsibilities at practices and home games. Equipment manager.

Duties: Film, feeding pitching machines, shagging balls, tracking statistic, sorting equipment. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Ability to be self-directed and manage time well. General knowledge of how to set up and operate basic video equipment. Ability to lift 15-25 pounds. Ability to work outdoors.

Position Purpose: Support lead and assistant teachers in the classroom

Duties: Perform daily care and education duties including observation, supervision, engaging and disciplining children. Work with lead and assistant teachers to ensure environments stay safe, clean, and compliant. Help lead and assistant teachers with social, motor, development, academic, and personal development of the children.

Position Purpose: Oversee and regulate all activities that take place in the Esports room.

Duties: Facilitate between student body & Esports personnel. Monitor & report any abnormal. behavior; notify security in case of problematic behaviors. Cannot play games while on duty.

Position Purpose: Assist students and staff with technology needs and questions 

Duties: Respond to IT Helpdesk calls, monitor and respond to IT work request tickets placed by faculty and staff. Assist department with monitoring and responding to virus activity on the HCC network. Assist with deployment of new computers and equipment and completing projects.

Qualifications: Positive interest in technology and willingness to learn. Some previous basic experience in technology is helpful

Position Purpose: Back up the desk clerk.

Duties: Check students in and out of library, check out items from the library, answer questions along with light cleaning and straightening of the library. Will learn basic library skills, such as shelving books, getting new books ready to place on shelves, how to use the library services, and other duties. 

Qualifications: The student must be eligible for work study through financial aid. Work schedule could be a combination of mornings, afternoons, and weekends. The student must also be reliable, show up on time, follow directions, and be able to work independently.

Position Purpose: To keep the lab open for design students, and help where needed.

Duties: Daily: clean monitors, keyboards, and stations. Weekly: general organization and clean up. Daily: keep lab open and help students with technical issues (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, printers, etc)

Qualifications: Art/design student preferred. Responsible and ability to follow directions is a must. 

Project Purpose: Document student life activities, aid marketing department in day-to-day operations.

Duties: Help with mail, print & cut paper, hang posters, provide insight on social media trends, help with yearbook, deliver printing projects across campus, gather pictures from other departments, occasionally work an event, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Must be eligible for work study through federal financial aid. Work schedule could be a combination of mornings, afternoons, & weekends. Must be reliable, arrive on time, and able to work independently.

Position Purpose: Assist in the running, streaming, photographing etc. of events for Highland. 

Duties: Video production and filming of sporting and other events, photography, videography, editing etc. 

Qualifications: Willingness to work in all weather conditions, must be able to lift at least 25lbs, perform as a team player, good attitude. Basic understanding/ willingness to learn about video, photo, and audio, and editing.

Position Purpose: To support the Registrar's Office in daily tasks.

Duties: Scan documents to Paper Vision (student filing system), shred confidential documents, assist with mailings, process incoming/outgoing mail daily, assist with phone calls, customer service, and errands around campus. Assist students in navigating website for self-service. Occasional lifting and carrying boxes to/from Bookstore. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented. Comfortable with basic office equipment and computers. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow instructions.

Position Purpose: Provide students academic, career, or transfer assistance in Student Success Center. 

Duties: Greet students entering SSC, direct students to appropriate staff or resources, offer guidance in note-taking, study skills, and time management. Pre-screen cover letters and resumes. Assist students in researching 4-year colleges. Show students how to use online tools and college websites. Help with workshops and events. Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: Must have at least a 3.0 GPA

Position Purpose: Assist with office duties in SSS

Duties: Greet and welcome students who need assistance. Ensure all students sign-in and sign-out on the iPad. Office duties such as filing, data entry, copying, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Must be in good academic standing and eligible for Federal Work Study. Ability to work independently. Great customer service and communication skills. Ability to follow directions and perform duties as assigned. 

Position Purpose: Help student life plan, coordinate, set-up, and run student activities at Highland CC 

Duties: Have the opportunity/chance to go to conference(s), Build leadership skills, Plan and integrate marketing plans through social media and other channels, no work during finals week/holidays; work some weekends, athletic events, and nights, help to build a programming board at highland cc.

Qualifications: Be able to life 50+ lbs, Federal work study eligible, a drive to put on student life events.

Position Purpose: The Student Life Worker helps create an engaging and inclusive campus environment by supporting events and promoting involvement. 

Duties: Assist with planning, setup, execution, and cleanup of Student Life events and activities. Support office operations such as organizing student life supplies, distibuting flyers and event reminders. Serve as a positive representative of Student Life and encourage student involvement across campus.

Qualifications: Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn, take initiative, and represent Student Life in a positive and professional manner.

Project Purpose: Academic Support

Duties: Music copying and filing, equipment organization and maintenance, music library updating, electronic records upkeep - all assist with department operations and organization

Qualifications: Good written and oral communications, ability to lift 20 lbs., ability to read printed pages and organize by number, timeliness, and ability to use Google sheets.
