The Kansas Promise Scholarship is a state-sponsored program that provides “last dollar” financial assistance for specific two-year degree or certificate programs at Kansas community colleges and technical colleges.

This scholarship helps cover tuition, fees, books, and required program materials/tools after other financial aid has been applied. The program, signed into law by Governor Laura Kelly, was created to make higher education more accessible and to support both Kansas students and employers.

Highland Community College is proud to participate in this program, offering Promise-eligible programs at:
• The Technical Center in Atchison, KS
• The Western Center in Baileyville, KS
• Online (Medical Coding only)
