Why Choose HCC Online

Online learning at Highland offers the best of both worlds: flexibility and connection. You can access your classes 24/7 through our learning management system, complete coursework from anywhere, and still engage with instructors and classmates through discussions, projects, and virtual office hours.

Whether you’re starting college for the first time, transferring credits, or returning to complete your degree, HCC Online makes higher education accessible and convenient without sacrificing quality or community.

Admission to HCC Online follows the same process as on-campus programs. To get started:

  1. Complete the Online Application for Admission
  2. Submit official high school or college transcripts
  3. Provide ACT/SAT scores or complete placement testing if required for advising
  4. Meet with an academic advisor to develop your course plan and schedule

Online-only students are not required to complete tuberculosis screening, making enrollment simple and efficient. Once admitted, the HCC Online Office will provide your login information, online orientation details, and course access instructions.

HCC Online Application

HCC offers a variety of associate degrees and certificates that can be completed entirely online, including general studies, business administration, health-related programs, and transfer pathways to four-year universities.

Courses are designed to be interactive, engaging, and accessible, with built-in support for students new to online learning. Most classes are asynchronous, allowing you to work at your own pace within weekly deadlines. You’ll receive regular feedback from instructors and have access to virtual tutoring, academic advising, and library resources.

Even though you’re learning remotely, you’ll have full access to Highland’s student support network. Online students can take advantage of:

  • Advising and Degree Planning: One-on-one guidance from academic advisors to keep you on track.
  • Technical Support: Assistance with online platforms, password resets, and troubleshooting.
  • Tutoring and Writing Help: Virtual sessions available for most subjects.
  • Career Services: Resume support, job search guidance, and interview preparation.
  • Student Engagement: Access to online student communities, events, and college updates.

HCC Online’s team is dedicated to helping you stay connected and supported throughout your educational journey.

Highland’s online tuition rates make earning a college degree affordable from anywhere. Online students are eligible for federal and state financial aid by completing the FAFSA using Highland’s school code: 001921.

Payment plans are available for added flexibility, and our Financial Aid Office can help you estimate your costs, review scholarship options, and manage payments easily.
