What is Multi-Media at HCC?
The Multi-Media Team is responsible for streaming most games and events produced by Highland including but not limited to:
- sports,
- music concerts,
- musicals,
- graduation ceremonies, and
- special events.
Our group is in charge of executing these events and running the cameras, gathering media for later use, and broadcasting/recording.
We work Highland Community College's Marketing department and HCC's Sports Information Director to help produce marketing materials and help with some of the day-to-day activities.
Aside from the broadcast we also run the lights, sounds, and sports replay at events.
For Theatrical performances, we assist with the light board, sound board, spotlights, set construction and backstage work.
Some events require less of those items, in which case you may be asked to serve as a student representative for the college.
From the technical side of broadcasting and stream management to photo/videography or running a spotlight, students will grow and develop best practices for today's work force or build essential skills for their next academic steps.
