Gainful Employment
In 2010, the U.S. Department of Education introduced a series of regulations known as the Program Integrity Rules, designed to protect students and ensure responsible use of federal student aid. Among these rules is the Gainful Employment provision, which requires colleges to provide key information about certain certificate programs that lead directly to employment in recognized occupations. These disclosures help prospective students make informed decisions about their education and career paths.
Highland Community College is committed to transparency and student success. As part of our compliance with federal regulations, we provide Gainful Employment data for applicable programs, including information on program costs, completion rates, placement rates, and median student loan debt. This information is intended to support students in choosing programs that align with their goals and lead to positive outcomes after graduation.
