The Registration Office maintains the accuracy and integrity of academic records and ensures compliance with Highland Community College policies and procedures. We uphold the standards of higher education while supporting students as they progress toward their academic and career goals.

Drop Date Information

• Withdrawals: For classes that do not meet within the above dates, the last day to withdraw is the 50% point of the class.
• Refunds:

• • 100% of tuition & fees if you complete the necessary withdrawal procedure before the first class meeting.
  • 50% of tuition & fees if the withdrawal procedure is completed before the equivalent of two weeks of classes. i.e. classes that meet once a week, the second class equals 2 weeks, etc.
• Academic Engagement: HCC requires academic engagement to remain enrolled in a course. Online courses require submission of gradable coursework to be engaged. Face to face courses require the student to be physically present when the course is in session. Instructors will report “no show” students on the final day of the posted 50% refund period for the enrolled session. Students who are dropped for non-attendance and non-engagement will be refunded course tuition and fees. Visit HCC’s website to review the policy requirements.
