Below is a list of current (and past) committees at Highland Community College. Contact information for current chairs is included with the commitees listed below. The HCC Academic Standards Committee will help ensure that the College and its instructional practices are held to a high standard of excellence and academic achievement in a collegial and professional atmosphere. The Committee’s many activities to support this goal of academic excellence and achieving our Mission include overseeing and administrating the HCC Faculty PDCA Assessment Project each semester, and ensuring that all disciplines have ‘Master Course Outlines’ on file for each course taught at any location or by any modality for the College (from "ASC Brief Overview 2016-2017", available in Folder below).

The Curriculum & Instruction Committee is responsible for reviewing departmental program curriculum and instructional needs as well as reviews and making recommendations to the Chief Academic Officer or the Dean of Technical Instruction.

The purpose of this committee is to foster excellence in instruction by planning an annual spring in-service activity and recommend the agenda for the professional development spring in-service day to the administration (bylaws, 2018).
