Wamego
Highland Community College has been a part of the Wamego community for over two decades with the mission to provide the best possible educational experience possible for each student, to use and utilize all resources available for learning, and to provide the highest level of student service possible. This mission is accomplished at the HCC Wamego Center with a very strong liberal arts program which is easily transferred to the area’s regent universities. Our many program offerings are led by a caring and motivated faculty consisting of both full-time and part-time instructors in math, English, biology, and viticulture (grape growing) in addition to part-time instructors in business, criminal justice, early childhood education, history, psychology, sociology, physics, chemistry, health sciences, and pre-nursing -- totaling 60 instructors at HCC-Wamego. Our instructors focus on the success of the student, bringing and sharing their educational and business & industry experience with their students. Utilizing their advanced graduate degrees, classes run morning, afternoon, and evenings and every classroom has wireless Internet. The Wamego Center’s modern facilities and low 20 to 1 teacher/student ratio make learning easy and enjoyable. Our fulltime academic advisor and local IT specialist on staff offer ready access to your academic and technical questions, making HCC-Wamego a full-service branch of the College.
