Area voters will have the chance to hear from candidates for political office at a Candidates Forum to be hosted by Highland Community College on Tuesday, October 18, at 7:00 pm in Culbertson Auditorium on the Highland campus. Area candidates for the second district of the U.S. House of Representatives, state legislature and senate, and state Board of Education have been invited to be on hand to give statements and answer questions.
To date, those confirming their attendance are Britani Potter, who is running for the second district Congressional seat, Jerry Henry, candidate for the first district state senator position, W. Brett Niebling and John Eplee, candidates for the 63rd district of the state House of Representatives, and Deena Horst and Aaron Estabrook who are running for the State Board of Education. The public is invited to attend this Candidate Forum to become informed prior to the November elections.
