HCC esports is in full swing with dominating performances. Esports head coach Matt Ludwick noted he’s pleased with how the spring season began.
"We've been working on the chemistry, teamwork and communication of our teams which is vital to the success of esports."
Highland Community College currently competes in three leagues: National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC), National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) and Wildcat League.

Wildcat League play begins this week. HCC esports is currently in fifth place in the Fortnite College Series out of 146 other colleges.
"It’s extremely exciting right now," Ludwick said. "I am very proud of all of the student athletes’ hard work and accomplishments at this point in the season."
Rocket League, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Overwatch and Valorant teams travel to Manhattan, Kansas to compete in the "Heartland Games" March 2 and 30.
