The HCC Bookstore is located in the lower level of the Library Student Union and is open on weekdays. Rental books, school supplies, College apparel, and College souvenirs are all available at the HCC Bookstore.

Online Bookstore

New for Fall 2016 – Book Rental System for HCC Online Courses! Rental books will be provided for online classes. Online courses will utilize HCC’s book rental program to provide students with cost-effective and easily accessible course textbooks. Students will incur a fee of $16.00 per credit hour for course textbooks and materials. Textbooks will be mailed to the student; the student is responsible for returning the rented textbook at the end of the course. Some courses required supplemental or consumable materials. The cost of these items will be added to the course as an additional fee. These materials will be distributed with rental textbooks.  Please follow this link to finalize your textbook order for your HCC Online courses.  Textbooks will be shipped to your confirmed mailing address during checkout.  Textbook shipping will be free for Fall 2016!!

Note:  Students will need to know their HCC student ID and course schedule with course ID to complete the order. 

To find your student ID number, log into your MyHCC account and click on the My Profile tab -+and then the Account Information link, which will list your System ID “HCC student ID” in the form of “000456789”.

Book Rental

A service that saves HCC students several hundred dollars each year is the book rental program. HCC students do not pay high prices to buy their books. For a rental fee of $13.00 per credit hour, textbooks are provided to HCC students. All students are required to pay this fee.

This rental fee does not include workbooks or supplements required by the instructors. Books are distributed from the HCC College Store and must be returned at the completion of the semester or when dropping the course.

Any student who fails to return books by the specified date or when dropping the course will be assessed the current replacement cost of the book (s). The student's academic transcripts will be held until payment is received.

Mail Room

The HCC Mail Room is located within the College Bookstore. Student mail boxes are located in the hall outside the Bookstore. All incoming mail is put in student mail boxes by approximately 12:00 PM each day. Outgoing mail can be mailed from this area. Outgoing mail leaves once a day (3:30 PM).

Students are required to have a student ID, as a security precaution, when picking up any incoming packages at the Mail Room.

UPS & FedEx services are also available at the Mail Room. Packages need to be secured with tape and have a proper shipping label including street address.

Lost Items

Items lost and found on the HCC campus are taken to the College Bookstore. Items may be claimed with appropriate identification.
