Highland Community College sophomore guard De’Andre Upchurch (Flint, MI) has again been honored as the Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week.
Upchurch led all scorers with a career-high 40 points in a home loss to #2 NJCAA D-I ranked Coffeyville Community College, including hitting five three-point attempts. In the Scottie win at Johnson County, Upchurch scored 29 points and grabbed six rebounds in a pivotal game that decided who would host the first round of the playoffs. Upchurch leads both Jayhawk Conferences with a 26 point per game average.
