The Highland Community College women’s cross country teams was in action on Friday evening at the Emporia State University Invitational Meet.

The Scottie women continue to battle through some mid-season injuries. Due to this, only four runners competed, and therefore Highland did not finish in the team standings. Baker University won the meet with 60 team points and Lauren Jaqua from Baker won the meet in 19:08.55.

The Scottie women harriers were led by sophomore Crystal Hoard (Randolph) with a 60th place finish in 21:53.03. Sophomore Becky Geib (Fairfax, MO) finished in 107th place in 23:35.46. The Scottie women are next in action on Saturday, October 12, competing at the Haskell Indian Nations Invitational Meet.
