The Highland Community College women’s cross country team finished as the sixth place team on Saturday morning at the Haskell Indian Nations University Invitational Meet in Lawrence.
The Scotties, running as a team for the first time since the first meet of the season due to injuries, tallied 152 team points. Truman State won the team title with 21 team points. Unattached runner Hannah Dimmick won the meet with a time of 18:52.59.
The Scottie women harriers were led by sophomore Crystal Hoard (Randolph) with a 14th place finish in 20:29.61. Sophomores Becky Geib (Fairfax, MO) and Hannah Olsen (St. Joseph, MO) finished in 28th and 33rd places respectively. Freshman Jordyn Mize (Nortonville) finished in 38th place. Sophomore Annie Ross (Olsburg), running in her first meet of the year, finished in 41st place.
The Scotties next travel to Butler Community College for the Ollie Isom Invitational Meet on Friday, October 18th.
