The Scottie volleyball team got their hands dirty as they responded to a request from Highland basketball alumnus Joe Laukemper to help harvest grapes at the Mound City Development Corporation Vineyard. The volleyball team picked over 4,000 lbs of grapes that will be processed into juice as part of the economic development effort in Mound City.
“This was a neat experience for the team as they were able to see the benefits of their hard work,” said Coach Diana Gaddis. “No one on the team has ever done this kind of work before, so it was fun to watch as they worked together in the Vineyard.”
