Two players from the Highland Community College men's team have been named to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference 2013-14 Basketball All-Conference Team. Named to the Eastern Division II men’s team were Martell Collins and Dominique Davis, and Torre’Somerville as Honorable Mention. Davis was also named Freshman of the Year. The players were nominated by their coaches and then voted on by opposing coaches, who did not vote for their own players.
Hailing from Milwaukee, WI, Collins is a 6’5” sophomore; Davis is a 6’0” freshman from Washington, D. C., and Somerville also comes from D. C. and is a 5’10” sophomore.
The two team is in action in the NJCAA Region VI Division II Tournament this week. A win on Tuesday evening will take them to the finals at Koch Arena on Saturday, March 8, for a 3:00 tipoff. The men are coached by Jerre Cole.
