Tyler Nordman, a 2009 graduate of Highland Community College, has been hired to fill the newly created position of Student Life Assistant at the College. Nordman holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Newman University. A native of Augusta, Nordman also attended Butler Community College before completing his degree at HCC.
In addition to his college time, Nordman continued to work for Keith Meyer Construction as a crew leader and worked as the Photo Editor for the Newman newspaper. While at HCC, Nordman was an assistant to the Director of Student Activities, served as Student Government Association president, and was a member of the Scottie basketball team.
In his new position, Nordman will be living in campus housing, working with students in their daily lives, and helping them organize their life activities to meet their personal goals. He will begin those duties on July 2.
