A Kindermusik playdate has been added to the Spring schedule of events at the Walters Wellness Center at Highland Community College. This Kindermusik session, scheduled for Monday, March 19, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, focuses on Music Moves Us! for newborns up to seven years old. The playdate costs $15, and includes the instruction and a CD.
This is a great way to get ready for Spring with musical activities adapted for this age group. Limited space in this playdate is available, so interested parents are encouraged to contact instructor Shelia Hennigan at 785-741-4579 as soon as possible. The registration deadline is Friday, March 9.
Kindermusik classes give both parent(s) and child(ren) the opportunity to interact and meet other families during a unique musical experience. During these sessions, parents have the opportunity to learn more about their child’s unique developmental process, and share a learning experience which creates a unique bond as their child learns with fun, musical play. Activities vary, including experimenting with various musical instruments, relaxation techniques, dancing to a steady beat, and much more. Kindermusik playdates are designed to nurture a child’s natural curiosity, one that eventually draws the child toward learning new words, new numbers, and new big ideas.
