Highland’s Terry Repeats as KJCCC Player of the Week

For the second week in a row, sophomore running back Marquis Terry (Atlanta, GA) earned the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Terry had another strong performance out of the backfield on Saturday afternoon in Highland's 26-21 victory over #13 ranked Hutchinson. Terry rushed the ball 26 times for 127 yards and two touchdowns, following his Player of the Week performance the previous week with 158 yards and three touchdowns against Iowa Central. Terry leads the Conference and the NJCAA in rushing touchdowns with eight and is third in the KJCCC in yards per game at 97.

Terry's performance helped the Scotties improve to 4-1 on the year; one of the best starts in HCC history. It also helped Highland get to the #20 spot in the NJCAA National Poll on Monday afternoon; the first time in over 25 years.

The Scotties are on their bye week and will travel to El Dorado, KS on October 8 to take on the Butler Grizzlies at 7:00 pm.
