Bryant Fultz, a freshman forward on the Highland Community College men’s basketball team, was named the NJCAA Division II Player of the Week. Fultz is a graduate of West Potomac High School in Alexandria, VA.
Despite falling in their first game of last week, the Scotties pulled it together around Fultz and ended their four-game losing streak. In a narrow 77-74 loss to Coffeyville, Fultz posted a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Highland earned their first victory in two weeks with an 81-71 win over Independence as Fultz registered another double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. The freshman notched his third double-double of the week against York JV with 25 points and 16 rebounds as the Scotties cruised to a 107-52 victory.
