Highland Women Ranked #1 in Nation

After starting the season 14-0 and beating previously unbeaten and nationally #1 ranked Johnson County Community College, the Highland Community College women’s basketball team has taken over the #1 spot in the NJCAA national rankings. “I am really excited for our young ladies, nobody works harder than this team, but we will continue to focus on trying to improve every day and be at our best come play-off time,” said head coach BJ Smith. This is believed to be the first time in school history that Highland's women’s basketball team has been ranked #1 in the country. Last season the Scotties were ranked as high as fourth and finished the season 28-4.

The Scotties are in action tonight at 5:00 pm in Allen Field House vs Labette Community College.
