Coach Tom Bond’s women’s cross country team at Highland Community College has two top five finishes early in the 2015 season. The women ran at the Northwest Missouri State University 5K on September 4 and the team finished 4th, with Jennifer Hall, (Carbondale) as the top runner for Highland, finishing in 21st place. Nebraska-Kearney won the meet.
The Highland women then traveled to the Johnson County Community College 4K in Overland Park on September 18. Highland placed 5th with Jennifer Hall again leading the way for the Scotties with a 17th place finish. Mid America Nazarine won that meet. The Highland women will return to action when they return to Johnson County, this time for a 5K, on October 2.
