Nationally recognized softball pitcher Ivy Renfroe is returning to Highland Community College to conduct two Pitching Clinics, and this year Ivy will be joined by her sister Ellen, who is equally recognized on the national level for her pitching skills. The sisters are highly regarded for both their collegiate accomplishments and their recent coaching abilities. Heidi Jordan, head softball coach at Highland Community College, is providing these Pitching Clinics, which are designed to enhance the skills of area youth. These clinics will be conducted in the Walters Wellness Center on the Highland campus, and interested participants are encouraged to contact Coach Jordan at 785.442.6070 or hjordan@highlandcc.edu.
The Pitching Clinics will be broken into two groups: one for beginning and intermediate players on Saturday, January 24, and one for advanced players – those who have game experience and an understanding of throwing pitches – on Sunday, January 25. The beginning and intermediate group has a fee of $50; the advanced group’s fee is $80.
Participants in these Clinics need to bring their own catcher and their own sack lunches. Check in for both groups will be from 9:20-10:00 am each day and the Clinics will conclude at 3:00 pm. Participants are encouraged to pre-register by contacting Jorday at 785.442.6070 or hjordan@highlandcc.edu.
