Two Highland Community College softball players were named as the KJCCC Player and Pitcher of the Week after their outstanding performances last week. Freshman Paige Crawford (Salina) was named pitcher of the week after going 3-0. She allowed only one run on two hits, and struck out seventeen. On Thursday, Crawford threw a no hit shutout against Maple Woods.
Fellow freshman Kaley Pyles (Dekalb, MO) was named Player of the Week. Pyles tallied nine hits on the week, four of which were home runs, and accumulated sixteen RBI’s. She now has a total of six home runs on the season and 21 RBI’s.
