Two members of Coach Heidi Jordan’s softball squad at Highland Community College earned national recognition as being on the NJCAA Division II All American First Team for their play in the 2015 season. Freshman infielder Morgan Balderas (Wichita) and outfielder Emily Clontz, a sophomore from Grapevine, TX, were joined by two players from Labette as the four Kansas players matched four from Iowa on the 2015 First Team. Others on the First Team were from Arizona, Illinois, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Balderas and Clontz led a balanced Scottie team that fell one run short of returning to the National Tournament for the sixth straight year under Jordan.
