Highland Hires Director of Advising

Following a year-long search process that included an interim director, Highland Community College has hired Joseph Davis as its new Director of Advising/Student Success Center.  Davis comes to the College from North Andrew High School in Rosendale, MO, where he is the counselor.  He is also the head track coach, teaches two Spanish classes, and is a student organization sponsor.  Previously, he was involved with similar activities at Polo High School in Polo, MO, and Benton High School in St. Joseph.

Davis graduated from Penney High School in Hamilton, MO before getting his bachelor’s degree in Spanish at Missouri Western State University.  He then completed his master’s in School Guidance and Counseling at Northwest Missouri State University.  Davis will begin his duties with the College on June 8.
