The Highland Community College football team rolled over the Dodge City Conquistadors on Saturday afternoon at Kessinger Field by the final of 38-10. The Scottie sophomores bowed out of their playing days at the College with a satisfying win on Sophomore Parents Day. Most of those sophomores are being heavily recruited to continue playing at the next level.
The Scotties improved to 6-5 overall and 3-4 in Jayhawk Conference play in Head Coach Aaron Arnold’s first year at the helm. It is the second straight season that the Scotties reached the six win mark. Since the community college bowl games have been reduced to seven sites, even with six wins, it is unlikely the Scotties will be offered a bid, so Arnold and his staff will prepare for next season with a solid base of experienced freshmen returning for the 2015 season.
