Highland Football Receives All-Conference Nods

Eight members of the Highland Community College football team received honors from the voting of Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference coaches for membership on the All-Conference teams.  The Scottie kicking game received recognition as kicker Josh Pasley (Lenexa) earned first team honors and, even though he led the Conference, freshman punter Chance Clark (Hutchinson) was named to the Honorable Mention team.  All other Scotties named to the teams are sophomores.

On the defensive side, safety Chris Bivins (Gainesville, FL) was named to the second team while tackle Jake Swalley (Overland Park) and linebackers Emmanuel Jones (Roosevelt, NY) and Zack Haynes (Mulvane) are Honorable Mention.  Offensively, fullback James Wooten (Kansas City) is on the second team and center Andrew Nichols (Shawnee) is Honorable Mention.
