Highland Community College men’s cross country coach Chad Clevenger was pleased to see the initial Hill ‘n Dale national rankings of the new season as his Scotties are ranked third, the highest ever for Highland men’s cross country. Clevenger is encouraged to see the national recognition as acknowledgement of the College program which has been steadily improving in recent years. He can also see from the rankings that his squad will have to work hard as two fellow Jayhawk Conference members join him in the top ten, with two more at 11 and 12. Clevenger’s Scotties recently took first place in the non-Division I competition of the Bob Timmons Classic at KU.
