Constitution Day was celebrated by several departments with events, prizes, and tests of knowledge on the Highland Community College campus on September 17. The day commemorates the historic formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787
Library Director Cindy Davis and staff gathered students for quizzes on constitutional knowledge and encouraged discussion. Copies of the constitution were provided as well as refreshments for students and staff.
“This year we had great attendance and were even able to put together a video to use as a teaching tool,” Davis noted that students enjoyed the event.
In addition to activities in the library, Highland made copies of the constitution available to staff and students in English and Spanish.
