After a nationwide search, the Highland Community College Board of Trustees announced they will bring an additional candidate for the position of President to campus March 1, 2019, for interviews.
Candidates will meet with representatives from faculty, staff, the community, and student body. In addition, they will also be interviewed by the Presidential screening committee as well as the Highland Community College Board of Trustees.
Deborah Fox of Independence, Kansas will come to Highland, Friday, March 1.
Fox currently serves as Director of Business Operations & Management for USD #446, Independence and previously served Highland Community College as the Vice President of Finance & Operations. She holds a Master of Science in Educational Administration with an emphasis in Higher Education from Fort Hays State University and an MBA in General Administration from Pittsburg State University.

Brett Campbell, Ed.D. of Tulsa, Oklahoma visited campus February 25.
Campbell has most recently served as Senior Vice President of Workforce & Education at the Tulsa Regional Chamber, and Provost and Vice President of Workforce Development at Tulsa Community College, Northeast Campus. He holds an Educational Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from Oklahoma State University.
Timothy Taylor, Ed.D. of Clarkston, Michigan visited campus February 26.
Taylor has most recently served as Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at Oakland Community College in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and as President Oakland Community College in Auburn Mills, Michigan. Taylor earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Candidate George McNulty of Colby, Kansas has withdrawn from the search.
Candidates were announced after current HCC President David Reist announced his retirement to the Board of Trustees effective June 2019 after 38 years with Highland.
