Highland Athletic Teams in NATYCAA Top Twenty

Highland Community College finished fourteenth in the nation among more than 400 other colleges in the annual National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators Cup standings in the NJCAA scholarship division.  The Cup standings are determined by a point accumulation comprised of each college’s performance in men’s and women’s NJCAA national championship competitions.

Each champion receives 20 points, second place 19 points, down to fifth place; only the five best performances for men and women, separately for each institution, are counted.  Half points occur when there are ties, so the point total for that competition, when divided in half, can result in a half point.  The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference has eight teams in the top 25, with Highland ranking third.
