This week students at the Highland campus and members of the community can take part in events to promote sexual assault awareness month. All events are free and open to the community.

Due to the sensitive nature of the subject matter support is available. HCC Counselor Courtney Freeman will be available for anyone to seek help or may be contacted via email at counselor@highlandcc.edu. More information can be found at highlandcc.edu/pages/counseling.

What Were You Wearing?

Yost Art Gallery

Tuesday, April 9 – Friday, April 12, 2019

Open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day

The exhibit may contain sensitive subject matter for some viewers.

The traveling exhibit features stories from sexual assault survivors accompanied by recreations of what the survivor was wearing when the assault occurred. “These stories remind us that regardless of the outfit assault can happen to anyone and it’s not what is to blame,” said Courtney Freeman Counselor at Highland Community College and event organizer of the outfits.
